HDPE Composite Plastic Waterproof Membrane
WHAT IS HDPE Sheets / Sand Coated HDPE Sheets?
This is a sand-coated HDPE composite plastic waterproof membrane designed for basement raft and footing foundation waterproofing. The membrane comprises multiple layers, with the bottom layer being a high-quality HDPE composite plastic polymer sheet serving as a water barrier. The top layer is coated with sand using potent bonding glue, ensuring a strong adhesion to the concrete when poured over it. Ingeniously manufactured using innovative high-end technology, it serves as an import substitute product.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
• Thickness: 1.2 mm & 1.5 mm
• Width: 1.5 m. • Roll Length: 20 m.
• Weight : 1300 to 1600 GSM
• Material : Sand Quoted Innovative HDPE Composite Plastic
APPLICATION AREAS
Both types of membranes establish a continuous bond with poured concrete, remaining unaffected by ground settlement. These membranes serve as impermeable barriers to water, moisture, and gas, offering excellent puncture resistance during the placement of reinforcement bars. Inert and resistant to chemicals, acids, bases, alkalis, and salts, they provide exceptional corrosion resistance. Suitable for various applications:
– Basements
– Podiums
– Parking Areas
– Retention Walls
– RC Members
– Tunnels, Underpasses & Culverts
– Water Retaining Structures
– Sewage Treatment Plants
– Underground Metro Stations
– Service Rooms
– Pier & Harbour Protection
ADVANTAGES
- Easy and Quick Installation
- High Flexibility and Crack-Bridging Capabilities
- High Bonding Strength over a long period
- High Waterproofing to applied structure
- High Anti-Puncture Performance
- Saves Construction Time and Cost
- Strongly Bonds with Concrete when casted over it
- Resistant to aggressive conditions in natural ground water, acids and alkalis
- With little training application can be done by semi-skilled workers
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Simple 3 Steps Application Process:
1. SPREAD:
– Unroll the membrane roll over the PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) with precise alignment.
– Fold the membrane at the edges of the raft, using a hot air gun if necessary.
– Ensure the adhesive/coated side faces upward, towards the concrete pour.2. JOIN:
– Bond two membrane sections together using the double-sided self-adhesive tape provided by Berzelius.
– Ensure a 100 mm overlap and firmly press the joined sections with a steel tool.
– For three-sided corners, utilize the corner-molded membrane supplied by Berzelius, and join it with self-adhesive tape.
– Connect all horizontal and vertical joins with a 100 mm overlap, using adhesive tape.3. CAST:
– Place and secure the reinforcement in the desired configuration.
– Proceed to cast the raft slab with concrete, completing the application process.
