Because of excellent properties of silicone rubber, it is a good electrical insulator. Silicone rubber has remarkable resistance to ozone, sunlight, oxidation, and color stability. It also retains flexibility at low temperatures and has outstanding resistance to high heat.
Applications requiring strong tensile strength, rip and cut growth resistance, or abrasion resistance are not advised for silicone rubber. Moreover, it is not advised for resistance to solvents, alkalis, acids, oil, and gasoline.
CalorPyro’s silicone rubber extrusion facility has silicone gasket material which is mixed and processed in a very distinct environment to make sure it is not contaminated with carbon and Sulphur. Our silicone rubber profiles offer great adhesion to all silicone sealants and are incredibly long-lasting for sealing in the Façade industry, including curtain walls, frames, OEM window seals, vents, door seals, and skylights, among other things. This ensures weathertight joints.
Our silicone gasket high temperature can withstand temperatures of -40 °C to +230 °C while still being flexible. Our gasket material is therefore the perfect choice for applications that must withstand such high temperatures.
