Key Voltage Classes & Technical Specifications Selecting the correct insulation mat depends on the maximum operating voltage of your facility. Berzelius offers five standard classes across smooth and fine-ribbed surface finishes:

  • Class 0 (BPM-IEC-001): Max Working Voltage: 1.0 kV | Proof Voltage: 5.0 kV | Dielectric Strength: 10.0 kV
  • Class 1 (BPM-IEC-002): Max Working Voltage: 7.5 kV | Proof Voltage: 10.0 kV | Dielectric Strength: 20.0 kV
  • Class 2 (BPM-IEC-003): Max Working Voltage: 17.0 kV | Proof Voltage: 20.0 kV | Dielectric Strength: 30.0 kV
  • Class 3 (BPM-IEC-004): Max Working Voltage: 26.5 kV | Proof Voltage: 30.0 kV | Dielectric Strength: 40.0 kV
  • Class 4 (BPM-IEC-005): Max Working Voltage: 36.0 kV | Proof Voltage: 40.0 kV | Dielectric Strength: 50.0 kV

Rugged Performance & Environmental Resistance Formulated from elastomer blends free from insertions, these mats deliver key physical properties:

  • Mechanical Strength: Minimum puncture resistance of 70 N and slip resistance >50 N.
  • Chemical & Temperature Tolerance: Retains at least 75% mechanical strength during oil and acid resistance tests. Operates safely from -25°C to 55°C.
  • Safety Ratings: Flame-retardant properties (does not flame) and certified low-temperature flexibility down to -25°C without cracking or breaking.
